The Pyramids Echo Festival 2025

Egypt's first full-scale music festival beneath the Pyramids of Giza, the Pyramids Echo Festival was a landmark event in the country's cultural history. Sun Public Image managed the production across six nights at the Pyramids Panorama in Giza, then a further two at the City of Arts and Culture in the New Administrative Capital, bringing pianist Lang Lang, global sensation Dimash Qudaibergen, Lebanese icons Abeer Nehme and Faia Younan, the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, and the Boris Eifman Ballet to one of the most iconic settings on earth.

The scale was unusual for a first edition. Four hundred and ninety nine musicians performed over the run, and more than 3,000 people attended each concert. Of those musicians, 258 came from abroad and 241 were Egyptian: this was not a festival that flew in a lineup and left, but one that put Egyptian players and singers on the same stage as the international names, night after night.

Getting it built took the full range of the company's work. More than thirty private organisations sponsored the festival, from banks and developers to the national carrier, and it ran under the patronage of more than six Egyptian ministries, a level of institutional backing that only comes from sustained governmental relations. Alongside the concerts, the venue carried a VIP lounge and an artistry exhibition of sculpture and clay craft.

From international artist relations and logistics to on-ground production and audience experience, this was Sun Public Image's most complex and ambitious undertaking to date, and the one that most clearly defines what the company is capable of. A second edition is already planned.
